Responsibilities of Undergraduate RAs
- All RAs in the lab assist in conducting research sessions, including acquisition of EEG and EKG data, as part of our ongoing studies
- Additional opportunities to work with graduate students on separate research projects may be available on an individual basis
- Interested students may receive up to 4 credits per quarter in Psych 196 for their participation in lab research
- Advanced students who have completed at least 3 quarters as an RA in the lab and have a record of excellent work may additionally seek an independent project (e.g., Psych 199, PURC) under the mentorship of a graduate student
Information for Interested Students
- RAs are expected to commit 8-10 hours per week in the lab
- Students accepted as RAs will undergo hands-on training in the lab and must complete CITI and HIPAA training online prior to working with study participants
- Students wishing to interview for an RA position will be asked to submit an unofficial transcript/grade report and curriculum vitae (CV) via email, and complete an interview with graduate students
- For more information or to request an interview, email us at lcap.ucla@gmail.com
We accept applications for new RAs on a rolling basis, determined by our study needs. Please reach out to us by email if you are interested in joining our undergraduate research team!
