Research Assistant (RA) Opportunities

Responsibilities of Undergraduate RAs

  • All RAs in the lab assist in conducting research sessions, including acquisition of EEG and EKG data, as part of our ongoing study
  • Additional opportunities to work with graduate students on separate research projects are available on an individual basis
  • Interested students may receive up to 4 credits per quarter in Psych 196 for their participation in lab research
  • Advanced students who have completed at least 3 quarters as an RA in the lab and have a record of excellent work may additionally seek an independent project under the mentorship of a graduate student

Information for Interested Students

  • Applicants wishing to interview for an RA position will be asked to submit an unofficial transcript/grade report and curriculum vitae (CV) via email
    • Preference is given to individuals with a GPA > 3.5
  • Students accepted as RAs will undergo training in the lab and must complete CITI and HIPAA training online prior to working with study participants
  • RAs are expected to commit 8-10 hours per week in the lab
